New Pharmacy Manager for Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre
Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre in Plymouth has appointed Pedro Martins as its new Pharmacy Manager.
Pedro joins Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre from Clarepharm Pharmacy in Exmouth, where he was Pharmacy Manager. This was the latest in a number of pharmacy positions in the UK and Portugal.
He gained his MPharm qualification from the University of Lisbon in 2002 and a Master of Science in Health Service Management from ISCTE Business School in 2010.
Pedro has carried out research in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, looking at drug delivery systems. He has published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics and co-authored a poster at the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Sciences Society.
He has a number of interests outside of work, including archery, reading and cycling, and he speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Pedro’s post at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre will see him supporting clinical colleagues and patients with drug requirements for theatres, wards and discharge, as well as general drug stock and management.
