We outperform the national average in quality of care audit
Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre has scored above the national average for all criteria in the annual assessment, Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE), an assessment which is carried out across all hospitals and other clinical facilities.
The hospital scored 100% for cleanliness, 95.29% for food, 97.14% for privacy, dignity and wellbeing, 99.69% for condition, appearance and maintenance, 93.9% for dementia provision and 97.14% for disabled provision.
PLACE assessments are undertaken by teams of NHS and private/independent health care providers, which include at least 50 per cent members of the public (known as patient assessors). They focus on the environment in which care is provided, as well as non-clinical aspects such as cleanliness, food, hydration, and privacy, dignity and well-being.

National averages for each category were: cleanliness 98.5%; food 90%; privacy, dignity and wellbeing 84%; condition, appearance and maintenance 94.3%; dementia 78.9%, and; disability 84.2%.
